Take a ‘snowcation’ this Winter with Dalriada Lodges

The holidays are long gone, the Christmas cheer is behind us, and it can feel like we are only left in winter with an extensive list of new year's resolutions. Be more active, drink more water, get that promotion. We often become so consumed with achieving our new goals that we often forget to simply slow down, relax and have some fun.

Finding the balance between staying active and relaxing, between having fun and smashing your goals, is key. We can help with all of that! While combining it with a winter adventure outdoors, staying with us will leave you relaxed and recharged with new strength to find your inspiration again.

Trying out something new is always a great way to get out of a rut. Luckily, you don't have to travel abroad to get to a fantastic winter location. We have the perfect snowcation spots right here in Scotland!

Spread over four mountains and three valleys, Glenshee is the largest snowsports area in the United Kingdom. Skiers and snowboarders have access to 22 lifts to reach 3,500 feet. Skiers with advanced skills will enjoy the black-graded 'Tiger', while intermediates will enjoy 'Sunnyside'.

The Lecht Ski Centre is also not too far away. As there are fewer runs than in other ski resorts in Scotland, the area is generally quiet, which allows you to hone your skills. Anyone new to the slopes, or a family with young children, will find the Lecht an ideal starting point.

The 'fairy glen' is located between Blairgowrie and Braemar, a short distance from us also offers some of the best outdoor winter activities.

What's the perfect way to end your winter day out? Relaxing in one of our luxurious lodges, of course! Once you're well-rested, we recommend exploring everything our site has to offer. You can visit Dunnottar Castle for a taste of history or explore the local flora and fauna at Fowlsheugh Cliffs. Breath taking views are guaranteed whatever the weather!

Book here and go have yourself an adventure!
