Dalriada...The Coast is Clear

We are delighted to be able to welcome guests back to Dalriada Luxury Lodges.

We are so lucky to be situated on a shoreline location with big skies, wide seas, panoramic vistas and coastal clear air.

We want to reassure you that we are ready to welcome you in a safe manner. As a family business, we know how important it is to you to take your family somewhere that you know you will be protected by stringent hygiene procedures. Here are the steps we’ve taken ready to greet you all once again:

Team Training

Safe reopening

We are a small team and we have all undertaken comprehensive training in Covid-19 health and safety procedures before our return to work and a record of compliance is kept in our personnel files.

Risk assessments have been completed with our health and safety consultants and fully explained to staff.

The staff training includes hand hygiene and the correct way in which to wash hands. All staff wash their hands before and after shifts, before and after breaks at least once every 60 minutes for at least 20 seconds. This is compulsory for all and is monitored by management.

Our team has also been supplied with PPE which complies fully with government guidelines, based on individual job roles. PPE training and use is monitored and mandatory for all necessary staff. Staff uniforms are cleaned following government guidelines and is also monitored by management.

All team members will follow the current government guidelines where this is possible. We are staggering staff start times to allow distancing and handwashing to be low risk tasks and our administrative staff are working flexibly or from home where possible.

A Clean Sweep

Hand Hygiene 2

We have always been proud of our high cleaning standards in the lodges – our cleanliness is frequently mentioned in our customer reviews. We have extended our protocols to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene is at the highest level possible.

The cleaning and disinfecting of our lodges is even more extensive with special attention to high contact areas. Light switches, door handles and remote controls are all sanitised after each departure. All towels and bedding are removed and replaced after each guest stay, regardless of whether they were used or not. Each piece of crockery, glasses and utensils are also cleaned.

One Stop Housekeeping

We are not undertaking any linen or towel changes whilst you are in your lodge. You can inform reception when your lodge will be vacant. Our team will be wearing the recommended PPE whilst cleaning your lodge. If you would prefer for our team not to enter your lodge, you can request clean towels, linen and anything else you require to be delivered to your door.

Policies

Our hygiene policies have been updated to comply with all government guidelines, including cleanliness, touch points, hand hygiene and personal hygiene. We have created a new Covid-19 specific policy which all staff have been trained on. Sign off and compliance is monitored by management.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

Making sure that we all remain protected is a partnership and we are doing everything in our power to help make you safe. But we ask that you are also vigilant when you come to stay with us and follow our guidelines.

Stay Alert

If you think you have coronavirus or have any symptoms before your arrival at Dalriada Luxury Lodges – fever, continuous cough, loss or taste or smell – you should let us know immediately and stay at home. Please do not travel. We would be happy to change your booking for a later date in these circumstances.

If You Become Ill During Your Stay

The incubation period for Covid-19 is 2-14 days, so it is possible you may have developed symptoms before your stay. It is vital that you let our Reception Team know as soon as you feel unwell. Please avoid close proximity with any of our team or other guests. If you are fit enough to travel, we will ask you to return home immediately. If, however, this is not possible (you may be staying with us on your own and unable to drive or go on public transport), we will ask you to self-isolate in your lodge. We will contact NHS Scotland for the next steps including informing them for their Track and Trace programme.

Hand Sanitisers

We have installed a hand sanitiser station at Reception and one in your lodge. Please use them as often as possible.

Pre-Arrival

We ask that you use where possible our completely contactless check-in. If you do then your arrival instructions will be emailed to you.

Arrival

When you arrive at Dalriada, you must use the sanitising station at reception. You will be greeted with signage, to ensure social distancing and you should follow these instructions.

All pens and card machines will be sanitised before and after each use. Our staff will ensure that all guest interaction happens out with your lodge.

Although we can’t give you our normal guided tour of your lodge, you can view our 360 tours on our website and ask us questions at any time by calling reception.

Departure

On your day of departure, please do the following to help us to protect each other:-

  • Place all used towels in the shower or bath
  • Open all of the lodge windows
  • Put used cutlery and crockery in the dishwasher and switch on to clean (we will also wash all the unused items before our next guests arrive)
  • Please segregate recyclable materials from general waste where possible, empty the bins and put the bags in the wheelie bins inside the kit house
  • Ensure all doors are locked as you leave

We have created a buffer between guest stays of a minimum of 3 nights. This allows us to thoroughly clean and sanitise your lodge.

We may be more physically distanced than before, but we are still very much here to help make you stay with us as safe and enjoyable as possible. If you have any queries, concerns or feedback please just ask a member of our team. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dalriada.
