Aberdeen Restaurant Week
Date: Monday 22nd January to Sunday 4th February
Aberdeen Restaurant Week (ARW) will return to the city with over 70 restaurants and cafes participating.
If you want to delve into delicious dishes at delightful prices (from £10 to £30) including a Tasting Menu, a Burns Supper, and even a cooking class! Best to book in advance, quoting “Aberdeen Restaurant Week” to avoid disappointment!
Spectra – Scotland’s Festival of Light
Date: Thursday 8th February – Sunday 11th February
Cost: Free
Scotland’s Festival of Light marks its 10th anniversary to illuminate Aberdeen with eye-catching projections, interactive sculptures, and magical installations.
Some of Aberdeen’s most iconic buildings and locations will be transformed as part of the spectacular festival programme, including a return to Union Terrace Gardens, Marischal College, and Aberdeen Art Gallery, encouraging audiences of all ages to explore the city and delight in seeing it in a new light.

Peterhead Prison Museum
Open daily from 10am – 3.30pm
Scotland's own "Alcatraz" is a short drive up the coast to step back in time to the former Victorian HM Convict Prison which run from 1888-2013. It was also the filming set for the recent Channel 4 production The Screw.
Stonehaven Walking Trails
Some great (dog) walking, cycling or running trails on your doorstep.

Heritage and Culture
If you'd rather stay indoors, there are plenty of museums, galleries and castles to explore. The Aberdeen Art Gallery is home to an impressive collection of art and artifacts, while the Gordon Highlanders Museum tells the story of farmers and fishermen, ghillies and labourers, aristocrats and university students. Ordinary men with an extraordinary sense of duty.
